I was to create a piece that was background and geometric. The hard part was to also stay in my style . After a lot of research I came up with the "sacred flower" . It is the creation of all. We may not see the whole picture but it all starts from the same place . We can only see the part that we need at the time we need to see it . The universe has a mysterious way of bringing many threads together. Each thread brings people, places and events on to our life path for a reason. For me the universe brought my children as my foundation. My son-in law and grandchildren as my inspiration. The universe has brought the thread of belief; the belief in a higher power, the belief that people are basically good and the belief that we are all here for a reason. I have been blessed to have many mentors on my life path. Marcel Dubreuil and Dean Bauche my art mentors. Irvin Head, Jeff Monias, and Jasyn Lucas story telling through their art. Linda Mandes and Betty Fitzsimons have mentored me and taught me to have patience with myself and to understand constructive criticism. My art attempts to capture a moment in time. A Moment that reveals a line in a story. I hope my art offers the opportunity to imagine the story as our own, giving permission to stay and rest a while. I want my art to allow you to pause even if only for a moment. Norine Carriere transforms the here and now into the yesterday and forever. Drawing inspiration from the dynamic scenery of her surrounding, her paintings focus on the relationship between the land and the spirit. Norine Carriere is a visual artist with a flair for the dramatic. Contact Information [email protected] |
