I created a colourful painting in primary colours of a dancing woman (traditional) who has lost her head (surreal), photographed it so that it could become a digital image and added text about the joy of dancing, a quote which I found online. I have been painting since 1995 and have studied with teachers in Winnipeg and at Arts West at Clear Lake. I started with watercolour, but currently am working in either oil or acrylic. I have been represented by the Winnipeg Art Gallery Art Rentals and Sales, Poor Michaels and Soul Gallery. I am a member of the Manitoba Society of Artists and the Group of 8 Artist Salon. I have had solo shows and been in many group shows in Manitoba. My work leans towards abstract, sometimes referencing landscapes, sometimes figures. I am interested in colour, line, shape. and love the creative aspect of making art. I enjoy the time alone in my studio. It is a meditative experience for me.
