I almost backed out of this project, as my mind and imagination just seemed to be a complete blank. "The Penguin Round-up" came to mind when I re-read the criteria. Having worked in a convent, I saw firsthand some of the challenges the Sisters faced, and I thought trying to round-up these critters would be exasperating, yet rewarding for them. As you can see, some were easy to coax to follow and others not quite so co-operative, just like the people they had to deal with in their everyday life. The more I worked with this piece, and them, the more fun I had. I hope others enjoy them as well. Muriel was introduced to art after she retired and now enjoys painting as a hobby. Working mostly in acrylic she recently started exploring watercolour. Muriel's art has added a new dimension to her life. She promotes visual arts in her community, and encourages others to join her on this adventure. Contact Information [email protected] |
